hondas are gay anyway. why don't you just go with something that makes reliable power out of the box so you cut out the middleman (yourself) in modifying a car to make it fast?

Call me dumb, but will a supercharged LS even pull on an ITR? I mean supercharged hondas make what, 40-50whp over stock, being generous? stock LS on has 140, or so, flywheel hp, that sounds like a dumb idea to supercharge an LS

do not supercharge a DD. i did that before and my car only ran about 6-8months out of two years. its a waste of time and money.

The options you listed aren't realistic., unless you have over $1,500-2k to spend on a manual swap and shitty b16/18c swap, no type R unless you're paying $3k+ for the whole job.

Your best bet is to save up a little bit, hunt down a LS tranny on here for $2-300, buy a aftermarket clutch, find the things you need for the manual swap. Have it professionally done. At the same time, you should get a cometic head gasket, arp head studs, and re-do the oil pump/waterpump/timing belt. You will have a good running 5-speed, you can learn on, and not blow up right away.

From there, spend another $5-700 on a turbo kit you can find on vadriven. Go get street tuned for $75, you'll be making a reliable 250/270whp and overall you shouldnt have to spend over $2,500 for the whole thing I listed.

And this should be overtime, dont try to to tackle it all at once unless you have about $3k upfront, do it as I listed and you will be very happy.

(a side option would be to sell the auto, buy a manual and save $1,000 or so you woulda spent on a professional manual swap.

manual swap doesnt cost that much. all he needs is the hasport mount and clutch pedals, there is ways around everything else

Removing dash, re-wiring, cutting holes/welding holes in firewall,re-installing dash, etc. If he isn't mechanically inclined, its not a cheap or simple job.
