Agreed. Garages are for rolling in cars and doing actual work. The tools this guy has invested in would make any motorhead drool, but all the deco stuff is more like a 40s~50s museum. While it looks cool it aint that functional.

He gets props for thinking it up though, and for how good it looks.

I don't think it's supposed to be a functioning "shop" so much as it is his little hobby. He said he doesn't really do much customer work anymore. It's fine for doing occasional side jobs and maintaining his own stuff. I'd be willing to bet that more time is spent in there hanging out with friends and telling stories than anything else now.

If I had a hot rod, I'd be WAY more comfortable leaving my car with that guy than I would any 9000sq ft, pristine, white/red, shiney floored shop.
