Sweet, chance of instant and or gruesome death from a crash reduced by half!
Glad to see you're moving along man, when's the last time you hit the track?

I'm all for ghetto solutions, but unless I'm seeing it wrong I don't think that's very safe.
Looks like a super ghetto way of lowering the shock mounting point to raise the axle, making the ride height lower. And by super ghetto I mean way more ghetto than anything else in this build thread. Bad things will happen when that breaks.

Haha I was thinking that as I posted . "Not very safe" is a relative term. I haven't paid that much attention to this build, but from what I recall this new shock mount is far more dangerous than anything else done to the car so far.
I don't think the tensile strength of those washers is high enough for the load they will see. They won't just have downward force on them either, especially since they are welded at angles. Once one breaks, the other one will be soon to follow.

the load of the car is supported by the springs, that shock mount sees as much play as the shock lets it... the washer i welded onto that is more thick then the stock stamped steel... regardless that was temporary and has been reinforced.
ive already done a drift event with it regardless at drift nirvana civil war last event, placed second!
