Changed plugs today. Now my idle is all wonky, it requires more throttle to come off idle, and it bogs a bit at 10k. Fuckin' lame.

what did you change them from/to?

I would assume that you have a spark problem since that's all you touched.
You crimp/stress any wires?
You using a hotter/cooler sparkplug?

That is unless you had poor spark and therefore bad burn before and now you have improved spark and a lean condition. This could also be from using a hotter plug.

If you determine that you're using the right plugs then:
First test spark to each plug: remove plug and leave it plugged into the wire.
Kill the gas flow. Hold the plug against the head (being careful not to hold too close to the plug) and away from the spark plug hole so as not to ignite any fuel mixture that may be forced out of it.
You should be getting a nice white/blue spark to each plug.

If not then it's time to bust out the multimeter and check your coils, and sparkplug wires, etc...

Big question: if you replace the old plugs, how does it run?

Well I went from NGK CR10EKs to Brisk AR10LGSes, so no idea if it's a hotter plug. Checked all my connections before putting it back together, so I dunno if I just got plugs that don't really like the configuration or what.

what??? what did you have to take apart?

a hotter plug means it delivers more spark. hotter plugs might also require more energy that your coils just aren't giving them.
you should get something comparable to your old NGK's. there's nothing wrong with them. they're damn good plugs.

Edit: I still can't find anything out about the plug temp of your specific plugs. I did however find a bunch of people screaming "snake oil!"

IMO you should just get some good NGK Iridium plugs and call it a day.

Had to remove the airbox to access the plugs... But yeah, I think I'll end up going back to NGKs.

ah I gotcha... still doublecheck your airbox... an airleak could cause poor idling but I doubt that it would cause much top end loss...
