Cycle whore thread
story of my life... somehow my air screw adjustment turned into my timing being fucked, which turned into me deciding to get an electronic ignition instead of spending $ on a dwell meter which somehow turned into me needing a new wheel bearing which evolved into to pretty much completely replacing and further modifying my suspension: fork springs, seals, oil, air assist caps, preload plugs and fork brace and so on...
I'm sure all of this will reveal that I have inadequate brakes.

that is a given, and a whole 'nother can of worms.
new tires will somehow turn into new clutch plates and HD springs, clip-ons and rear-sets.
edit: oh yea and I almost forgot: steering stem bearing.

Hit the 33w mountain yesterday and found out just how important a good rear tire is. Got squirrelly a few times and once pretty bad when I hit my back break before a turn. The bike is now parked until I get a new tire this week. Was such a nice day to ride yesterday though, loved it.

Damn, should have txt me, could have met up w/ us. We were out there like 1:30 - 3:30 probly.
On another note, someone explain to me the starting/charging systems on sport bikes. My buddys bike cut off and had no power friday so we put a new battery in it. Started up and ran like a charm, until saturday when it cut off again. I've done some research and found out it is likely the regulator something or another, I can't remember what he called it. It's an 06 gsxr 600, any ideas or common issues you guys know of?
Sounds like either the stator or the regulator/rectifier. My R6 had a bad R/R and had the same symptoms. Replaced it with an aftermarket unit and haven't had any problems since.
Yeah, a good friend of mine who is a bike technician said more than likely the rectifier. Where can I find one of these, at a decent price?
