Down with Green Run!
Who is part of GREEN RUN HOA and would like to see it gone?
Just like the title says. HOA is a corporation, to dissolve this particular one 2/3 of the members must vote it out.
I am not looking for an argument and will not argue "PRO HOA" fans.
There are quite a few people interested in this already, i am just looking to see if there is more. Part of the issue is fact that Green Run is .... well softly put fvucking huge.
Benefits/Reasons include but not limited to:
-You paid for the home, do you really think its fair someone else should dictate what color you paint your house or type of mail box you put up?
-for starters nearly 400 per year worth of monthly dues and bs "assessment" charges
- ease of property sale. recent research showed people do not want homes with HOA for obvious reasons
-as slack as green run is "value of the homes" is hardly maintained plus see above statement.
- ALL HOAs have hidden agenda, its nothing but damn dictatorship
There are more reasons but i don't think is worth putting up, if you don't agree with me and think its ok for others to tell you how to run your property...well ....

The whole reason we didn't buy our house was because of a HOA. Fuck submitting a request when I want to paint my fucking shutters.

I thought it was pretty clear, 2/3 votes needed to abolish Green Run. I am trying to see if there are members on VAdriven that would give their vote, plus maybe help promote this and /or assist with procedure. Not a lot of time is required to put in to this ,but still time.
Going door to door asking people if they are happy and would want the HOA to continue would be feasible(or just give their "no" vote), if this HOA wasn't the size of a small city.
I am looking for people that would seriously want to contribute to the cause(have personal interests), which is why i asked for members of green run. Clearly nobody else would give two shits.
Edit: i can type up half a book with the info and inside details on dissolving HOA but i'd really like to see if there are any people ready to help. I cant do this alone.

You're going to have better luck actually talking to people that live in Green Run than posting here. Sure there might be a few members that live there, but not nearly enough to get any meaningful votes.
Maybe just go down your street and see what your neighbors think? If you can't get 67% of them to agree with you perhaps its not worth pursuing and you should look into moving.
