Project Classic Datsun: 1966 Datsun Roadster (1600) Restoration Progress
Chris, I finally got some leads for you. There's a guy in New York who may be dropping you an email soon. Waiting on a mutual friend to get his contact info.
I'm gonna PM you a number. It's a Datsun shop I believe. One of my fellow moderators at NICO works there, and they'll help you to find pieces you need if they don't have it lying around.

Thanks guys.. I'll be putting this stuff on the floor boards tomorrow:

and then start reassembling everything. I just made a huge order with a Roadster Parts warehouse.. So hopefully everything will be here next week!
Small update.
This took forever to get right, and the pics do it no justice.. But the factory dash was painted in a wrinkle grey finish. I used Eastwoods wrinkle black paint which mimics the OEM texture almost perfectly. I had to redo it twice because it wouldn't lay down correctly. The next step is to paint it grey. Here is it so far:

I also received the final piece (button/lock) for the glove box. I'll get pics of it installed shortly. The floor boards are now finished being covered in Eastwood's rust encap. and I started mounting some of the tail lights.

Oh man that looks great, especially compared to how it did before with the uneven blotching. Looking forward to more!
Yea, there is only one spot like that now, under the large gauge hole next to the steering shaft. The other weird looking places over the 3 center guages was a reflection or something in the pic.

can't wiat to see it all together... holler @ me if I can help ya with anything...
