Post pics of your ride!
Kudos to you, bro...
Is there anything you can do with a Nissan (or for that matter Honda, Acura, etc) that isn't considered played out? I don't see the issue. I think it looks good for spray paint, and it's little things like this that make working on your car fun. It's your own personal touch, even if 1,000,000,000 other people have done that to their valve covers--you can take pride in the fact that you did it yourself in your driveway or whatever, and it looks good. I'm all about the little things.

I haven't seen one groundbreaking Honda(or any other import for that matter) anywhere around here......Many are just complete shitboxes, and most are modded in styles that are trendy(and usually trends that were "in" years ago on the west coast and other areas that are just making their way here).
If you have tow hooks but don't race, roof racks but don't bike/ski(or if you do ski and it's summer),rusted hoods that did have perfectly good paint, agressive fitment wheels,"JDM" parts,Brotas, rare wheels,VWish mods, high end coilovers so you can ride them bottomed out, camber kits so you can add 3 more degrees of camber, stickers covering whole body panels,NA,turbo,a race car that's never seen a track,etc....Then you're trendy, seeing as how about a million other people have already done that stuff way before anybody in Roanoke ever did it.About the only thing would be non trendy would be to buy a stock Honda and just drive it.
But,that being said-who cares?Do what you want to do to your car.Even if it's a complete shit job,I still don't think anybody has any room to say anything bad about it.Everybody was a ricer, ghetto mod fucker at some point...Most still are.
I think the most groundbreaking thing I've seen anytime recently would be Jeff's turbo V8 240SX,and I'm sure somebody else had already done that too....
Yep Im sad to say all the Honda's in this area are starting to look the same as everywhere else in the country. (and only a handful actually have legit parts)
eBay sorta killed the car industry. LOL Everybody can have identical looking cars now. :P But then again, everything has already been done before in one way or another.

Amen, its like what's the point in building a white eg with a black or carbon fiber hood? I passed 3 exactly like that today coming into work. If you want to do something unique, don't try and patch together a pos honda with ebay parts and slap a set of rotas on it
I agree with alot of what you all are saying, that also leads to people trying too hard and just making it worse. The only legitly built car around here (chris's,and others who i don't know don't take offense) is a friend of mine named eric from dublin.Everything on his car is legit spoon even down to the rear veiw mirror.

Isn't Spoon what everyone either does, or tries to replicate since most of them can't afford the real deal? That's not unique, or original. In fact, take a trip to California.
But yes, your 100% right. We are a year or two behind the west coast, and it shows.
