I will be at this event, i cant wait. I did what i wanted to at pungo and didnt go off course or hit any cones, but i really wanna push my car harder.

 

You're both going to love ACU4! Make sure to get yourselves and any guests on the access list. (If you've got a CAC badge and can get onto base, you're OK.)

 

I am military so I should be good to go... I also purchased a CruiseCam to get some in car footage so I will be trying that out while I am there too.

 

ACU-4 is a whole different ball game. I'll have my white s2k out there.

 

So, would a complete AutoX noob be out of their depth here? I noticed that the field for ACU-4 is MUCH larger than pungo, so i'm a bit more worried about potential issues with not knowing what's going on. I had enough trouble in pungo!

Either way, i'll probably bring my humble focus out. I suppose you don't know till you give it a shot eh?

 

Absolutely not, I would say that ACU-4 is better for the new guys because the courses are a lot easier to follow in most cases. There is also an organized novice walk through and extra attention is paid to those that may have questions. The field is larger because the venue is that much better; the concrete is perfect, courses are longer and there are a lot more ammenities. If you ever have a question about whats going on just ask anybody, everybody was once in your shoes so its no sweat.

You can autocross anything, you may not have the fastest time out there but you'll have as much fun as anyone.

 

I just got all signed up for the event and base access. Looks like a great field of cars, and should be an excellent event!

 

I'll be there. Too bad I won't have enough events to qualify for a trophy.
