Yao! Been a while since I've been in here. Got a place in Virginia Beach since I transferred to ODU. Back here for a few weeks though, anyone up to anything? Otherwise I'm around every other weekend or so during classes.

 

Is there anybody on the peninsula, or even the southside, who can replace an O2 bung that had the threads in it get manalged/stripped? Ramey is apparently backed up.

 

any exhaust shop should be able to cut off the old one and weld in the replacement. I can't speak to a specific shop though, since the last time I had to do that I used a shop out in Charles City.

 

The problem is finding a halfway decent shop that won't weld some low quality stuff onto my nice custom stainless exhaust. That's why I'm looking for specific recommendations.

 

Gotcha. I know respec/sage is a no go. I contacted them about stainless last week and he said they aren't set up to weld it.

I asked over the phone for a quote, and they said $83 if the header is off the car. Call ahead to let them know you are dropping it off.

Edit: And I recommend them, I've had stuff done there before and they are a great group of guys.

 

You need to turn on your rep. Talk about going above and beyond. He was actually a little confused when I called because he thought I had just called. Thursday is the day, woot.

 

I don't know how to turn on rep, but I bet he was confused. I didn't want to give you a bad recommendation, so I called first to make sure they could weld stainless. Glad you got it worked out.

 

Go to settings (top of the page), then on the right hand side select general settings. It'll be the first one on the page: "Show reputation."

 

Odd...don't even remember turning it off. Anyway, yeah. They have a dyno there too, if you're feeling frisky. $55 for 3 with A/F IIRC.
