Oh good grief, I was there in a miata, my friend was in a flat black rattle can job 1st gen mr2, but everyone there was nice and liked to talk cars. Though I did laugh at the guy with the modded auto 370 with a huge stereo and airbags on the rear.

It's not about the cars...it's about what I get out of the cars that piques my interest. I'm just saying our interests are different, that's all. Your cars are pretty...they're like my car porn. But what I enjoy is wrenching on my 12.5K dollar (Full retail price, mind you) piece of japanese junk in order to make it do what I want it to do. I'd come out, but I'm pretty sure you guys don't want me jacking off on the cars. :P Plus, I don't even OWN an ascot. Just sayin...

Now there was a W12 Bentley there... it was about 15 minutes then he left (rich daddy's boy that we both want to avoid). There were a ton of s2ks which are japanese and are dropping closer to your price-point every moment. The old guy with the C4 ZR1 was great to talk to (he races it). I think you've got it kind of backwards, I mostly went because the drive was fun & was with 2 friends, not to drool at a viper with a delaminating CF hood.

What have you done to your jap shit anyway? I'll be at the autox on the 23rd at Virginia Motorsports Park.

I'm not a bentley fan...I go nuts for the Aston Martin's, amongst others. S2k's are a dime a dozen so, while I can talk shop with the owners, I don't rly care for the cars. Oh and I hate vipers.

as far as mine, CAI, lightweight alt/water pump pulley, lightweight underdriven crank pulley, lightweight steel skeletonized flywheel, ported and polished head, Gude custom cams, CamCon piggyback EMS, plus lowered and lightened. Working on exhaust/tb/and full standalone for it now.

As for the direction of the car, I'm looking at hitting up some of the auto-x stuff this season. Gonna aim for the southeast div., since they run @ VIR occasionally, and I wanna get down on that! Need to get rubbers though....right now it's narrow ass tires on stock steelies. I'm picky as hell though. It's 4x100, so choices abound. Working on sourcing full standalone now, then it will either be T/C on the 1nz, or swap to 2zr. Haven't decided yet.

 

Why I don't do Williamsburg Cars and Coffee: any car scene that has more cars built after OBD than before OBD isn't for me.

Or if the cars have ridiculously low miles....IE a 2000 year model car with 15k miles because owner is afraid to drive it...That is more disturbing to me than just a bunch of new cars.

 

Eh...my car would not have been competitive in autox stock, considering it get's classed with miata/mini/etc.
