So all you guys on sport bikes, how do you guys handle all the road salt/sand that's in pretty much every turn here in Virginia Beach. On my dual-sport I was fine, but being as how I'm about go get a sport bike, wondering how much the dynamics change. It seems like as soon as your rear tire catches that sand, it'd sweep right out from under you. Do you just take the turns tight inside since most of the sand is outside?
I try not to ride when the roads are sandy/salty. If I do, I just slow it way down and try to keep it as upright as possible.

I've got there Devil in the Details gloves and I have no complaints. They worked last winter, and been doing well this winter, too. Looking at there Over the Influence gloves, but they don't look very breathable.
So.. One of my Firefighters laid his 2008 R1 down infront of the firestation....
Broke his left ankle and broke the left side handle portion of the handle bar off and scrapped up the fairings pretty bad...
not trying to make a sale or anything... but that sucks... If he wants to put it back together. Let me know.
My friend laid down his 09 R1... and we were buying parts. He needed a left clip-on (handle bar). So... we bought one from Ebay... It was listed as an 09 clip on.. but it is an 08 clip on... so... I have that left clip on sitting in my garage for an 08, if he wants it. I am only looking to get what I paid for it.
