But, it almost looks like the oil fill might have been on the front corner where the hose fitting is, and someone added the oil fill neck where it is now. I can't figure out what's going on at the back end of the valve cover... I like this game.

That's got to be a seriously modified valve cover if it's a CA18, the oil fill should be on the right side of the valve cover instead of the left (facing the car like the picture). Plus, it looks like a single piece valve cover instead of a 2 piece.
