Anyways after all that hate, the inverted hatch was made by BN and was sold only in japan. They halted the production of it, but if you had that hatch, you were the shit.
So since then it became super rare and nobody had it and since not every single 240sx driver had the hatch, people just being people call it "rice"
Even though it was only sold in japan, people love it. If you snoop around the forums you will notice how many people will die for that hatch and how quick they sell. Just recently Chaser Aero brought them back in octoberish 2009. now there sold out :]
last time i checked (around the end of january) there was only 1 carbon kevlar hatch left for like $650.
