I wish someone on here would attend college. if you unseal your hood you do not vent heat out you draw air in through the break in the seal and out through the bottom of the engine bay

If its in a high pressure area (base of the windshield), then you're right. But hood vents installed on low pressure areas draw air out from underneath the hood, as the pressure is higher inside than outside.
