But being a college student, you're damn right that if I can get out of paying a 30 dollar ticket based on some discrepancy, I'm going to do it. I'd rather take this to court knowing I'm going to win than risking the possibility that I am wrong and having to pay even more because of court costs.

And it's not written wrong on the ticket, it's written wrong in the ticket database.

If I was worried about the 30 dollars, I wouldn't have been trying to pay it online in the first place. But faced between paying and legally not having to pay, I know what decision I'm going to make. Fuck parking police.

 

I wouldn't pay for that ticket especially if they messed up the information on the ticket.

 

1) if you were issued a ticket and not in the wrong, fight it.
2) if you broke the law, pay the ticket like a man.

1) I was issued a ticket and was not only in the right, but the ticketer wrote down my information wrong.
2) Fighting the ticket based on me being in the right vs. the ticketer writing down my information wrong, I know which one I'm going to pick- the one that's going to ensure I win.
