holy shit I deserve a fucking metal.

I just got 2 large usps flat rate boxes full of random nuts and bolts, engine, and other bike components. All of which were supposed to be for a CB750.

None of it was organized or labeled or anything, but in about an hour I had all 900-something pieces sorted bagged and tagged.
I even figured out that there was a points plate, two upper tripple trees, and fork caps to a yamaha xs650.
...and what looks like 3 pushrods from god knows what.

I think I've been spending too much time working on my bikes. You know it's bad when you can pick up a washer from a sea of pieces and know exactly where it belongs, and which bolt goes with it without any reference.

So... go to replace my chain and sprockets (front/rear) -- everything goes great, no fuck ups whatsoever UNTIL... we go to put the rear sprocket on the hub. Yamaha Factory Service Manual says the torque value for the 6 self-locking nuts is 72 ft-lbs. - so we stagger it in a crisscross pattern 25, 50, 72 ft-lbs. --- 25, and 50 go great. After that each nut won't go past 60-65 ft-lbs, just keeps spinning.. "Hmm.." --- back them off, try again. same thing... score the stud to see if the studs are starting to spin inside the hub, try again... same thing. Studs didn't move, no metal shavings. nothing. *scratches head* ... Try one more time, still nothing. Now one of the six nuts won't back off.. Fuck.

Call up Sunrise, they verify the manual lists 72 ft-lbs for each nut. Go back out, try one more time... No.
Get online search the interwebs and find out that Yamaha mis-printed the torque values. It's actually 28-30 ft. lbs -- NOT 72...
That book was printed in 2003 and they've yet to make a correction... Foam.
So now I've more than doubled the force required for every bolt, stressed the threads, stripped one, etc. etc. etc.
Make order for six new studs and six new self locking bolts. $47.50 and a week wait. FML

tl;dr
Service manual says 72 ft-lbs
Actual spec 30 ft-lbs
shit is fucked up
have to wait.

What a nice weekend, I rode my buddys bike to the honda dealership so he could get rid of it, and the whole way from his house there was followed by an unmarked state trooper. I had been wanting to ride this thing and try out the sprocket, and of course the time I decide to do it I can't have any fun.

Rode my bike for a while yesterday, man I love it. Also ordered new pads for my helmet so hopefully they will be here this week.

I may be able to help. I'm kinda tied up with my own projects but I'm sure I can work something out. You have a time frame?
