fb

imageshack - click on the link, then on the pic to view it full size. its not the best quality, but you can definitely see how much fb compression plays a part. especially on the hood and front bumper.

i'm a fucking photographer, man...you don't need to offer me any lessons. i regularly upload hundreds of pictures...facebook actually takes a little longer than necessary because it compresses. the trick is to limit the image size beforehand when you're uploading to other clients, then it's actually much faster than facebook.

and both of those pictures look equally bad to me.

lol calm down. im not a professional photographer and i havent edited any of these pics. these pics were all taken with an iphone 4. they arent gonna be great quality (even though i dont think its a horrible quality pic). with some editing im sure they will look better, but im not gonna do that to all the pics, maybe a select few.

and yeah i know i should have changed the file size to begin with, but again that takes time for that many pics. and i just wanted the pics to be posted before i went to sleep lol.

now that i look at it on my work comp, the pics do look basically the same. on my laptop at the house, the hood and bumper looked like crap on the facebook one and not the imageshack one. i have no idea why haha.

The turn out was great, just hope this isn't an indicator of the quality of meets this year.

I felt like I was back 10 years ago with some of the cars: Blitz body kits, lambo doors, Wings West kit on the focus, bright painted interiors...Not to mention that most of the cars were dirty as fuck. Watched the guy with the saturn sky try to use a spray bottle to get a months worth of dirt and bird shit off his car.

well it doesnt take horrible pics. and the photo resolution is MUCH larger than most people's computer monitors (2592 x 1936). and the video it takes is 720p. but i get what your sayin. like i said i just wanted to post pics of the meet for everyone. i am fully aware that the phone doesnt compare to a profressional camera lol.

You can bump a shitty photo up to to 2592x1936 but it's still a shitty photo because of the tiny lens, you just don't notice it as much when it's on a 3 inch screen.

doesn't have anything to do with the lens, has everything to do with the sensor.

Right. Not all of us have access to FB on every computer we're on. It sucks opening up threads full of pictures and not being able to see anything because a website is blocked.
