I really love the idea of driftwater. I also think having markers for novices is not a bad idea.
And having point by's should be mandatory. I have been to numerous events and I was stuck behind someone for 2 laps because they failed to look in the rear view.
It really gets irritating. Although I never attempted to pass I really wanted too lol.
I feel if someone is not paying attention and can not give a point by...... then people should notify a designated person. That person then approaches the person not giving a point by and talks to them about it.
That should correct the situation.
I actually was guilty of it at the last event when that girl in the m3 was on my ass for a bit. In all honesty I did not expect her to be anywhere close to me that fast.
My fault for assuming but I went and appolgized after the session.

I think during the "drivers meetings" new people might be too shy or scared to ask questions. Just give a brief overview of the passing/point-by/track etiquette/etc every time...I'm sure the regulars won't mind the extra few minutes of instruction if it may prevent an accident on track.
Btw, Terry was really sad he couldn't make it...we are still finding problems with the Evo from last Driftwaters mishap haha.

There will be more photos on Grip Syndicate's website when Jenny uploads what she took. She's got the better lens and camera so I'm looking forward to seeing those. I'll post a link as soon as it happens.
