When I really build up my jeep more than it is now d44s wouldnt cut it anyways so the extra money for a rubi wasn't worth it for me. D44 and d30 work plenty well with 33s for daily and not having a heavy foot when wheeling.
Starting without lockers and huge tires will improve your skills in the long run because you will learn how to choose better lines which will only help you more when you do move up.
My '99 is a sport too, but it had a D35 rear and no factory a/c. I had a little lifted ZR2 Blazer that was totalled leaving work when a lady ran a red light, so I made quite a profit on it after barely owning it for a month. They cut me a check and I had no other transportation, so as much as I wanted to be picky, I bought the first one I could get at a reasonable price. If I could have kept looking, I probably would have found something more ideal, but I'm glad I finally got a TJ like I've always wanted regardless.

J/K! Man, Jeep or not that one is a different breed with the 5.9 in it. Those wheels aren't to bad either. They look like some light alloys. Really nice find on that one! Please take care of that! I would love to have it!
