Default 2001 MKIV Volkswagen Jetta 1.8T

Name: Daniel
Location: 757
Means of contact: Text - 7576042883
Price: $2250 O.B.O. but mainly looking to trade for a decently clean, but stock Honda, preferably EG coupe/hatch. MUST BE MANUAL!!!

As the title states, it is a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta 1.8T.
Reason I'm trying to get rid of this is because I haven't taken much care of the motor of this car due to insufficient funds. I bought this car from my Dad about a year and a half ago, which he bought back in '04 I believe. It is painted midnight blue(?) alot of people say it has a purple tint, which it does, but in certain light at night.

*Motor*
-1.8T 147,xxx This is my daily so it will go up.
-Aftermarket air filter from Autozone
-Painted plastic motor cover gunmetal with some crappy splats of blue
-The battery cover is also painted gunmetal with some crappy splats of blue

*Transmission*
-Stock automatic transmission, no triptronic
-No slips, grinds, anything. hooks up like new
-Not sure why, but if you don't accelerate just right from a stop, like in traffic, it'll "hicup," only in first gear though.

*Exhaust*
-Stock downpipe
-Stock cat
-Stock resonator
-Stock suitcase muffler
-There is currently a cut in the piping between the resonator and muffler, was a stupid decision...But lots of people say it sounds nice, but I personally don't like it...

*Brakes*
-At the moment, the front needs new rotors and pads, and the rear needs new pads, but I'm getting those fixed this week. All stock.

*Suspension*
-2.5" Eibach Sportline MKIII springs
-Stock struts

*Wheels*
-195/65R15 (Front=75-80% Rear=50-60%)
-Hubcaps are painted dark gunmetal with the center emblem

*Body*
-The paint is in decent condition. There are a couple of 1-2" spots where some clear coat is coming off. There are no dents except on the trunk.(I'll explain shortly) There are 2 penny size rust spots on the hood, and a 3rd tiny rust spot from rock chips. Basically it has the dings, scratches and blemishes of a 10 year old car. But it cleans up verrrrrry nicely. As you can see in one of the pictures, the front lip doesn't fit by an inch. It's brand new from the factory 3 years ago but has never been put on until a couple weeks ago when I found out its a Passat lip...

*Interior*
-Stock white(?) cloth interior
-Possibly has Passat floormats, idk..they don't fit correctly.
-All switches work
-Cruise control works
-The climate control lights work when they want to, not sure why...
-The headliner has black painted and super glued tacks neatly put up to keep it from sagging.(Gets lots of compliments, different.)
-This car has been smoked in...a lot. So there are a couple of burns. Mostly on the floor, but one is on the back seat, It's very small. Will send pic of it upon request.
-The glovebox is still intact, and works.
-The armrest is broken, but I have ghetto-taped it with black tape and it's nice and snug.
-All window switches work

*Stereo*
-ALLLL stock
-The speakers like to sound crappy most of the time, like they aren't blown, the bass just likes to "fart," but if the conditions are right they sound amazing. Probably just needs to be connected properly.

Ok...now for the bad...I recently went to Autohaus to get my motor looked at, I was well aware it wasn't in the best of condition, but I needed to know what exactly was wrong so I could fix it...well..I'm going to list off exactly what this list says so..here we go.
*Bad*
-Remove and replace cam adjuster seal and valve cover gasket
-Remove and replace positive crankcase vent valve and hose
-Remove and replace brake booster vacuum line
-Remove and rewire for abs system in the front wheels(wire came out when lowering the car)
-Remove and repair power steering pump leak
-Remove and replace timing belt and water pump(water pump doesnt need to be replaced, has a 6 month old pump with a metal fan inside)
-Remove and replace left outer cv boot
-Remove and replace secondary air feed hose
-(Not on the list) The left license plate light doesn't like to come on by itself sometimes, so a bump to the trunk turns it on...hence why there is a small dent above the license plate.

Despite all of this, the car runs decent if you stay under 3000 rpms and don't dog it or let it idle for too long, otherwise smoke comes out.

I tried to be as honest as possible with everything I've said, but I know for sure I'm forgetting something, so if you have any questions at all, text me. I'll be more than happy to answer your questions.
