Also, I'm digging the Samurai, I'm very interested in getting one myself the more I look at these things..
You said an hour of cleaning? That must be Uwharrie ShitStink mud locked in the tires.. I just FINALLY got it out of mine from a July 2010 trip.

 

Nah, I haven't wheeled it yet after the third build. Tomorrow hopefully i'll finish it. All i'll have left will be to order my new wheels w/ proper bs and to get my driveshafts lengthened. I'll worry about shock later down the road. (its not going to be street'd much if any) Planning on its first trail ride being the 28th / 29th trip.

You should get ya one if you find one you're willing to pay for. They honestly are a lot of fun! This is my first soft top one. After one day i'm hooked!

The cleaning came from the seller taking it for one last hoo-rah before he sold it. (Mud) I HATE MUD. The Mud was all over the inside to. It took a while. I got it back late last night at 2:30am (we stopped at Hooters on the way back to Lynchburg) and went to bed, woke up and started tinkering with it. Got it tagged, insured, and legal to drive today + sold my little car that I had for sale. (Was a busy day)

Get rid of the walrus teeth and put real shackle hangers on

 

no pics yet, but i'm picking up another dakota 4x4 as a trail truck this weekend. getting it for super cheap. almost a twin to my current truck. i'll post pics when i pick it up

 

They're fun man! A absolute blast to drive!

The shackles are coming off just as soon as I put the 235s on it. (SOON)

Yeah, the PO put those on there to clear the 31s after he found out they wouldn't fit stock. He kept the stock shackles and they are going on soon as I get the 235s.


Told ya Shaun. Got them off today after working on my other Samurai.
