Just got scared at the truck crossing his path and didn't know how to use his brakes.
And accelerated while having his head turned like a dumb ass. Charlie posted this a bit ago, good reminder about the importance of good gear. Check out his foot/ankle under the tire....
I have to say that I accelerate when changing lanes... To me... he wasn't driving in the wrong... but wasn't being smart... as he thought the truck was just pulling out and was going to shoot by on the right side. But it didn't it was pulling out and pulling into the next parking lot. I am not so sure that he would have been able to stop the bike, cause of the speed he was traveling... I have to say... that I think that was probably his best option at the time. I would have tried stopping though.
I was amazed that the truck stopped like it did though... cause if it would have rolled another 2 inches.. it would have crushed his angle.
Yeah, it's kinda hard to tell exactly how fast he was going. I still would've TRIED to brake. He just straight up bailed and go lucky he didn't slide under the wheels of the truck.

Difference is he floored it as he was turning his head back basically and didn't realize what he was speeding up into. Man was lucky he didn't end up losing his foot.
