Nah.... I'd stick with Christiansburg or Salem. If you're gonna go as far as Elliston/Shawsville, you might as well be in Salem. That way you'll save on gas just groceryshopping or getting a bite to eat, or anything else for that matter.
Yeah, theres SOME bad parts, but not all.I've got a decent plot of land up there and fully plan to build on it in the next few years.
It's definitely pretty there. -I had a restaurant up in Shawsville. People were either super great, hard working folks that took good care of their homes and caars/trucks, OR CRACKHEADS. It's like they don't know they can go 15 minutes in either direction and find something other to do than rob/vandalize/do drugs, lol.

Unfortunately, when ever I think of Ironto, I think of the multiple murders that took place at that rest stop. That could certainly happen anywhere, but it's like an enigma.
Yeah... there's definitely sketchy things up that way. There is always something going on.
Hell, a lot of the sketchy things that happen in and around this area doesn't make it to the news.
One of my friends is a city cop, and he was telling me a few months ago about a guy he arrested.... I might have the details twisted a little because it's been a while, but I think the guy ran from him and crashed into something if I'm not mistaken, but here's the key part that I do remember: the guy didn't have any pants on. He ran because he was masturbating in the car. He handcuffed him to the steering wheel not really knowing what to do. LOL!
