I've been putting SR20det's in 240's for about 15 years. You can throw 15 pounds on the stock turbo and drive them daily absolutely fine. Of course you have to have an upgraded fuel pump, but you'd be retarded to not do one in the first place. You're talking about Meth with the 370cc injectors? You can upgrade the injectors for cheaper, lol. Sounds like you've read too much internet chatter or come from a honda background?

 

How did you go from SR20's to 4 rotors? Apples and handgrenades my friend.

. No I'm not coming out of a honda background, but why do you and nisbro seem to be hating on meth? A good meth kit will only run you well under a grand. It lowers IAT, reduces knock, makes the air more dense, can increase fuel effeciency and is just another safeguard to extend engine life. Infact, I can't think of single reason to not run meth, aside from the install could possible be pita depending on the features you want to use.

 

I'm not hating on meth, but you were suggesting to use it to get a reliable 260 hp out of an SR20det? You really don't need it for that level at all. I'd love to have a water/meth setup for my car.

 

Not hating on meth at all, i just thought it was quite funny you mentioned meth to make 260whp. Its completely unnecessary for a lower hp build. in fact, the only time ive heard of people running meth on an SR20 is when they have 500+hp builds. Like Woo said earlier, its much cheaper to just upgrade the injectors. Water/meth would be absolutely pointless on my car, but Woo's RB would benefit from it.

 

I'm not trying arguing with you guys; but just about any turbo car running much over stock boost will benefit from meth, especially if its running stock turbos, simply because the stock turbo is probably going to be running outside its effeciency range and is heating the charge air more than it should. The meth will bring the IATs back under control. Id put meth on a car making 330whp with a stock turbo before id use it on a car making 350whp with a bigger, just because the bigger turbo doesn't need it as bad.

2jz-gte boys, stock twins can push 400+ whp all day long.

 

Neither of our cars are running stock turbos, nor are we running them past their efficiency range. Hell im only running 7psi on a .86a/r t28...I have a considerable amount of boost to go before im close to maxing out my turbo. Meth would simply be a waste of money for me. The setup im going with has been proven to make 300+ whp safely and still retain the ability to be daily driven.

I always heard the stock twins were garbage..never really looked in to it though.
