Anyone pulled the carpet in a ZJ? I'm thinking Wednesday pulling the carpet out of the clam's to dry it out because of the AC leaking into the passenger side. I'll just pull the carpet, put the seats back in and let her rock it out with no carpet for a few days.

Man, and when you say it's a 93. . . makes it even cleaner! The YJ's I see are always ragged to hell and back, beat, and rusted. Shit looks good man, and the fact you wheel it, looks great!

I haven't, can't imagine it would be that involved. Does it have power seats or anything? Dunno if that could cause a problem, i'm sure they have disconnects though...

Yeah even with power seats it shouldn't be took much to pull the seats. It shouldn't be more than just pulling plugs.

If / when you decide to tear them shits out, post it up! I'm sure it may help out someone along the way if you run into anything. I'm pretty curious myself now actually.

I've glanced at it and it looks pretty easy to remove the seats, but its the carpet I know may get tricky.

Ya, that's what i'm curious about! If it goes back like it's supposed to. I know Freddy did it on his Exploder a couple weeks back, I know it's a completely different vehicle but he may have some insight on doing it.

carpet isnt to hard. remove all bolts related to the seat until they come out(i had 1 wire harness to unplug before removing drivers seat), unscrew any trim that holds the carpet down, take out center console, unbolt seat belts if needed.

mine had some velcro on some areas under the carpet to hold it down. only issue is it may be sticky if its never been removed, so youll have to pull on it with some. just look under and make sure any sound proofing/heat barriers dont rip apart.
i had a plastic bag with sound material on the passenger side above the cats and it melted the bag to the floor and ripped apart when i pulled the carpet up.

carpets pretty easy to do overall, just heavy and everything on the floor has to come out.
the only real challenge is replacing it, cutting the holes in the new one.
next time i pull the carpet will to be to change its color and add sound deadening

while its out clean it real good. car wash, hang it on floor mat hooks, spray it with cleaner, scrub and rinse, let dry in sun on top of the truck, shop vac/reg vac the rest up.
clean the floor of the truck too
or if your local car wash has caution tape all over and is closed and theres nowhere else closeby, do what i did:

Ridgeline's don't need to carry a cooler in the back...they have a trunk compartment with a drain plug that you can fill with ice and beverages and pull the plug and drain the melted ice when you're done. Shit's kinda trick.
