Elric is right charlie Testastrettas were built to be more reliable than the ducatis of years past. I've actually been more unfortunate than other 999 riders.

Wesnot - I REALLY would not suggest getting one as a first bike. It is way too pretty and rare to go through that (no offense). Buy a 250 or old 600 and putz around for a couple of months (or years in my case). Then keep looking till you find that perfect deal, and then prepare to spend A. Lots on servicing/parts OR B. parts when you mess up fixing it the first time.

I'm just now catching the hang of B. Oil leak number 879 = fixed =)

 

One reason I didn't pick up that 748 I was itching to buy. BTW that is a GOD AWFUL riding position on that bike.

An update on my bike. Chopped the fender and got some powder coated fairing hardware. Micron High Mount comes in on Wednesday. Can't wait.

Lol, ducs aren't made for comfort/long distance. Well, the SS bikes aren't. Monsters are very comfortable, would compare to that vfr of yours.

 

Yeah. I'm planning on doing an RC-51 front end swap (fork, brakes, wheel etc) and de-linking the brakes sometime this winter. Gonna either wrap the frame in Neffy or have it powder coated. Haven't decided yet.

 

My CBR is now for sale...I'll probably buy another one

 

Is it a poor quality clone of a real CBR?
