Some pics from NASA Heat Wave @ VIR last weekend
I was out there with my buddy who was in HPDE 1. It was hot as hell but was a pretty good time. Did you make it out of there before the storms on Sunday? That was rough on the way home..
July is always brutal at VIR.... October is usually beautiful.
sounds rough. I luckily wasn't towing his car home, but it was still nasty to drive in.
We will be back out there in October. I saw a few cars from build threads on here except yours. Ill have to look out next time.

I rolled out just as it started to rain. I had a horrible tow home. My trailer running lights kept popping a fuse on my truck which I replaced 3x and eventually said fuck it and drove home with the hazards on. If that wasn't enough my equalizer hitch snapped a bracket and almost caused me to wreck at speed and the rain was so hard that it overcame my window coverings and drenched the inside of my car. Not that there's much to drench, but annoying none the less.

The winning part is becuase the car is developed to the fullest extent of the rules for TTA/PTA and the fact that the C5Z is a really good car for the class as it's nearly a spec car. If I were to move up to TTS/ST2 I'd need coil-overs, full aero and up-sized tires to 295s or 315s all around to compete.
Oh... and thank you to GM for building a great car to begin with. The car has a very stiff/light chassis, great suspension geometry/design and a solid powertrain all from the factory. Don't have to re-engineer much to go racing.
Jesus those pictures are terrible. You'd think Finish Line Productions could poduce a better product. Maybe they are deluted as a sales tactic.
Either way, It was hot.
