Already found out for ya....I sent an email to Eaton (owners/makers of Detroits) and the guy said you can't interchange splines. It will only work in a dana 35 with 27spline count.

I found a 93 Cherokee... 130k miles. 3 inch lift. Some 30s. Painted olive drab. For $2500....
