to OP, both cars are great, i was in the same situation not to long ago, its really hard to choose between the two, i personally chose the evo IX MR mainly because of the tighter steering feel compared to the STI, evo just feels more like a go-kart taking turns because of the tighter steering, but the STI does seem to sound deeper, compared to the EVO's slightly ricer sound, but overall i couldnt tell you which one to choose, but if i did it again, i would choose the EVO IX MR again, because i just love my car
