exactly. and if you put a consistent driver on a prepared track, it would differ.
im not saying the GTR is the end all car, or that it "drives itself" ( it really doesnt, ride in one)(because if it does, then all new super cars pretty much "drive" themselves)
there are way too many variables to that race, do i think if it was a 1/2 mile it would be different? yes, the 458 and other cars are more aerodynamic/lighter.
also suprised the ZR1 wasnt in there, because some of those cars are passed zr1 price.
and i know the brovette is very american and not exactly the easiest to launch, and from what i understand, the zr1 is extremely hard (maybe why it wasnt chosen?)
again, its just drag racing, anyone can go in a straight line, what really matters is a track with turns!

I agree that it's BS the ZR1 wasn't included.I also think they should have used the M3 instead of 1M,although I'm sure that's based on the 1M being a new model and the M3 being mostly unchanged for several model years now.

yeah, with a great driver behind the wheel, for what its worth, the zr1 rolls the fuck out. and i doubt every single driver in that MT race was a MT staffer. natchez even said his buddy drove the gt3rs
im sure it did, and it would have helped had they been on a prepped track ( it in all honesty, could have been prepped to the best of its conditions.)
Why no viper? replace the stang with a new viper. why not replace the m3 with a m5? ( just pondering how a new m3 would do agaisnt a m5
for this to be the "greastest drag race in history" i would have liked to see them run on that 4 car drag race, and then have "ghost" cars
