Honda Ruckus / Scooter Thread
Hell-of-a ride with Ryan (akers4prez over at TR) today. Dude is an awesome guy and knows his shit. Went to lunch and talked about his "cross country+some" ride. Had a friggin' blast. Bounced speed theories off of each other and got to witness a 52mph GET in action.
Hopefully some of our discussions will find there way to my Ruck before I come down.

So anybody know how the fuel set up works on the GY6 swap i need some help here removed the filter and pump ruck started up no problem but i just need some advise from somebody that has done the swap before just to check over and make sure i got things right on it.
NEW VARIATOR IS INSTALLED!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please rain, let up for just a few.
EDIT: Remember those problems I was having? The popping? The sputtering? The loss of power? The general gayness? Well, while installing the NINJA SCOOTER variator with the 6.5gram weights, I decided to cap my PAIR valve (I was running open, but ran perfect before I installed the exhaust...even with open header it ran fine), and try a few tricks Ryan and I discussed today. Pushed the scooter outside fired it up and took it for a ride. It took off like a mofo.
Before: 4.5 grams and rev limiting at 38mph on the dial (true is approx. is slower by 2-3mph= 35-36mph)
After: 6.5 grams + variator and capped PAIR. Let out at 47 on the dial (I'm guessing 45-46mph). Did not hit limiter.
