Local cast iron welder?

Most shops wont weld cast, but your best bet is a diesel shop.

I do not suggest this.

I weld cast on a weekly basis, and will say that it will break.

Not to mention the fact it will have to be a stripped casting to be able to weld it (needs to be preheated if the item is not a large casting) so there is a good chance you can destroy seals in the process.

My suggestion is to trim the crossmember or come up with a different method.
