Ya its a LONG painstaking process now and it not really all that cheap. Its the primary reason the 78 Civic doesn't have a title right now. Also now you have to mail EVERYTHING to the DMV in Richmond for processing on new titles which is a huge fucking pain in the ass.

What? Nooooooo... The DMV is full of knowledgeable people that know exactly how to do their job. They could help you through the process with no problem. I also doubt they would ever "lose" any of the paper work that you send in because they are great at keeping stuff organized.

P.S.- Above statement is completely full of sarcasm, the DMV is full of trained apes that can barely help you register your car, let alone get a title.

Last time I went through the process it took around 3-4 months and cost somewhere around 150-200. I did it through a mechanic friend though, so it might have been easier since I did it that way.

Well im thinking about selling my ruck and picking up another and start a hole new build with one.

Ya its a PITA, especially if you dont have any form of documentation ont he vehicle, IE prior registration. If there was prior registration its easy to get the new title.

Otherwise you have to have State Trooper or local Police officer come out to visual check the vehicle and ensure the VIN number is clean (not stolen vehicle, etc).
