ifreddie.....I have those u-joints. Don't buy a set, I'll sell you the two I have for a lot cheaper than you can get a set. They are still in the ford plastic wrappers, just like new.
I paid a few bucks over 100 for both of them from Ford...so $50 for both of them?
Thye are not going any where...I've had them for sometime now. The ones in my truck billet/ forged expensive shit I had extra money for at the time, I'll probably have a new truck before I break one or need to replace them.

cool. im 40% sure i need new ones anyway. i just went out and rattled them around a bit and i want to say they have slack, but im not sure if it was just the delay from spinning the hub or not.
im having someone check out my balljoints at some point just to be sure about them. ill get his opinion on my u-joints also. although ill prob just replace them anyway. siince the hub and rotors will be off

If you have it a part doing the rotors and brakes, you might as well. If you don't..you have to undo the same stuff to do them later...that's a lot of work to do twice.
lol. im known for doing that tho. ill do those u-joints, but the balljoints will depend on what my buddy sees. hes a mechanic and good for alignments, so he knows a lot for front end stuff.
cause i honestly have no clue what im looking for lol
speaking of u-joints, i think the one on my rear driveshaft on the exploder is going. thats why i always carry unnecessarily needed tools when i DD a work in progress toy, like hub sockets, pitman pullers and brake line flarers. just pop that driveshaft off and go FWD
lol

Not really all the great pics since I took them with my cell phone and I only took shots of a section of the trail behind my house (the one I run the most). There are a few other spots at the end and start of the trail I play on as well. I have a friend maybe coming down next weekend that I can get more pics of action on the trail. Plus the leaves are covering up everything an very little water is running. A lot more fun when the stream is moving.
But to give you an idea
One of the hills I come down to get into the trail, the area in the background behind the tree is also a trail that goes around the bend that is fun to play on as well.

It doesn't look like much but the Jeep in the flex pics the top of the hood is level with my head if I'm standing in front of it and I'm 6'5. Had to climb out on the tire to get out.
In this pic is where a toyota flopped on his side. He was riding the bank trying to play and his one tire hit this rut an gently slid him onto his side

This is where you get out of the trail or cross over to another section that you can play in

I've got other pics from the past where we played on the trail in the snow and when we were cutting it out. May get those on here later. Anyways not bad to just walk outside play a little, sit by a fire, drink a few, get back in do it all over again and try different lines or come up with new path. Hopefully this fall/winter I can open up a few more areas of it and make a few more paths. I worked about 5 mins yesterday trying to rut out a hill climb that I can't get up just yet.
