amazon has contour Roam hd cameras for 89 with code 89ROAM89

These don't seem to have as good color as the gopro and the mic pics up a lot more wind noise judging by the vids i've seen, but its a much sleeker package to mount to a helmet.

if you're using the camera for accident defense / prosecution then there's no real reason to have good audio when in motion anyway. all confrontations will take place @ < 10mph

That's my problem. the go-pro on the helmet is like a brick in the wind. I'd mount a go-pro to my bike or something then put a more aerodynamic cam (like that) on my head.
