do yourself a favor and get a similar vintage 750 both the SOHC and DOHC are the tits.

 

Any one know how to figure out the year of a cbr1000 motor?

 

pull the motor, take the head off and it'll be written on the piston crowns.

if it's not there then it'll be on the backside of the piston skirts. you'll have to remove the crankshaft to check that.

Soooo, rode all wkd, and yesterday we stopped off at a local swimming hole where we had to park in a small gravel lot in the woods. Anyway, I pulled up behind my buddys truck waiting on my other friend to get his bike out of the spot so we could leave. I swear he saw me pull up and park there, but his reverse lights came on and he backed right up into me as I was sitting on the bike. Now my brand new bike has officially been dropped in the gravel. Fuck. Just got the fender eliminator and flush mount signals on it too.
