I learned about using sockets to remove wheel locks too, but not in a mischievous way... I was getting new tires put on and had misplaced the key to the OE wheel locks. I was in Lynchburg, and lived about an hour away. With my permission, he used a similar method to go ahead and remove them. I'm not questioning where he learned that from, but it probably wasn't tire changing college. lol
It's a known problem. Snap on makes a special tool set for removing wheel locks. People loose their key all the time. I can't tell you how many I've removed from 944's, they use a literal key and you have to chisel the lock cover off to get the lugs off.
And Martin, why not come out with a gun?

Haha, that decision would have to be on a per situation basis.
I said it above because I was wasn't trying to make it out like you need to come out like a badass and start fucking people up.Certainly the best action to take would be to step outside and start yelling.Any thief is going to take off if that happens.Waving a gun(with no intention of actually using it,of course)reinforces the point though

IMO no one on this forum has a vehicle that I'd protect with lethal force if necessary... so I'd leave the guns inside. Hate to put yourself in a situation where you'd have to use it. Take the shit and go peacefully, you know? I guess I have mixed feelings about it. I don't want someone taking my things, but I'm insured for a reason and I tend to not leave anything in my vehicles that I would die without if someone chose to be greedy.

I think making yourself known is about as far as you really should go.If that doesn't scare them off, along with the alarm sounding, then you should probably leave them alone anyway and just call the cops.
So you have the BOV venting to atmosphere?Doesn't that not work well on mass air cars?Sorry,I have very little experience with that particular kind of setup.I built charge pipes for a 1.8T Golf and remember the owner wanting the BOV vented back after the mass air sensor, saying that it would make the car stumble getting back on the throttle after a shift if it wasn't routed that way.

So running a BOV is fine.
