Oh that cop just made my effing day.

Triumph speed triple?

We need that law in va. There are quite a few advantages to having a motorcycle, one of them being you can fit in places other vehicles cannot. If bicycles are allowed, we should too.

I'm also an ass-hat... but that's an unrelated matter.
Have you considered a sport-touring (i hate that term) bike....VFR800 or maybe a Triumph Sprint ST?

I don't plan on selling it for quite a while, at least until I'm done with college; 3-4 years from now.

No, too big for my needs, a "sport-standard" is about as touring as I'm willing to go.

Maybe a small top-case for a laptop, that's all I need.

How do Ducatis and Monsters survive being daily driven, year round, in all weather?

After I'm "downsized" out of the Navy, I'm gonna be a poor college kid...

Well I'd definitely go up to Redline and be very honest with those guys and figure out what kind of warranty they'll offer as well as other support after the sale.

As you've seen on ADV, some local guys love Redline, and some hate them.

Personally, I'd get a Versys because I'm cheap/frugal and I know parts/labor are probably cheaper.
