i pulled the plugs while i was out there, cranked until no water came out, reassembled, sounded like shit, got better, missed under load, got better, turned it off, turned it back on later and drove home.
drained the oil tonight, was a little milky, 2qts marvell mystery oil & 3 qts 5w-30, ran until hot, shut off, drained and added fresh 5w-30. new filter both times. have not started it with the fresh oil yet.

edit: it didnt just spudder either. it went 2500rpm to 0rpm in 1 second. thats a good amount of force it took.

Budget? id like to keep it under 6k if possible.
Goals? to be a hispanic redneck and drive through the trails/mud.
1/2 ton, 3/4 ton or 1ton truck? which one would be better?
Gasser/Diesel? probally gas, but diesel would be nice.
Use? just be able to have some fun with it on the weekend/ late nights. im not looking for a rock crawler just something i can get in the mud and not get stuck.
MPG? anything over 10 mpgs would be great lol
Average Miles You'll put on it in a week? daily it most of the time and just get it dirty once a week probally.
Trail Riding? Logging roads, mudpits? i guess trail riding and maybe small mud pits? idk i have never been on too many trails and i dont plan on going in any deep mud wholes for now (nothing over 3-4 inches at least)

Well if you aren't doing any towing an just want a weekend fun toy, gotta look into a Toyota or Ford Ranger Truck, or maybe a Jeep Comanche. Find them cheap, great after market support, easy to setup for some wheeling fun an easy on gas.

Need something more fullsize? Ford F-Series, Chevy, Dodge all the same depending on who you talk to...........I like the 80-86 Ford F-series trucks thats because I have one. Great fullsize trucks, won't impress anyone on an articulation ramp but overall a good mud bogging truck, riding easy trails, etc. Drawback to fullsize trucks are trying to fit them in tighter trails.

Good luck finding a diesel in $6k range that is in decent shape.

yeah thats why i said it would be nice to have diesel lol but i was looking at the zr2 blazer and they seem pretty capable of being a daily and also a weekend toy. does any one own a zr2 or know anyone who does? also would a pickup or a suv be better for what im looking for?
