I have never understood why people rage on motorcycles parked in a parking space. Can someone explain this to me?
I'm not sure why they would rage considering in most places they don't have motorcycle parking. In Vegas they have spots specifically for motorcycles in some shopping centers. It's kind of nice because it's right up front .
They get mad if we don't stay in the lane provided while riding, but then get mad when we legally use a parking space... lol.
whatever. I've seen people get mad that there are designated "motorcycle" parking spots.
The logic behind it is... you're not taking up an ENTIRE parking spot, therefore you are wasting it.
A car could fill that ENTIRE parking spot therefore it should.
Nevermind that the car and the motorcycle are carrying the same number of people. Or that the motorcycle has two more friends pull up and fit in that same spot, thereby making 3 bikes in the parking spot. It just isn't fair that the bike takes up a parking spot when it can't fill the whole space.
I wish lane sharing was allowed although there would probably be an increase in accidents and fatalities I'm sure initially. It's definitely a culture shock at first to have motorcycles cutting through the middle of lanes.
I know my first time driving in California if freaked me out at first, but then you just become more aware of your surroundings. Well at least I did.
