so i just recently put a turbo on my car and its doing a few odd things. well when i get one the car it goes threw first fine then i hit 2nd and it cuts out then does back in and runs fine. it only does it the first time then wont do it again. the other thing is when i get on my car alittle whe i slow back down to low rpms it acts like it wants to lag and run like shit unless i give it alot of throttle. but goes back to normal driving after resetting car( turn key off then back on while driving) with no problems. car is untuned at the moment on 5psi motor is a d16y7. just wanna get an idea of what the problem is.

 

It's untuned. Problem solved.

 

The actual problem you are having is a map sensor, though I'm told they hold to 10psi? I could be wrong. Just what Ive always been told.

 

I figured the map sensor would be an issue and o figured since im only on 5 psi it wouldn't cause really any problems until I get money up to get tuned

 

Get tuned. Your air and fuel is way off the charts.

1. You need a tune
2. Quit getting on it while its untuned
3. It does not matter if your only on 5lbs of boost. You still need a tune

5. GET A FUCKING TUNE

 

Don't get a tune. Put your stock shit back on. You post screams ignorance and you've got much more to learn before you can get your set-up to run right.

 

who boost a y7....really. i think i stock ls swap will make more than a turbo y7 on 5

 

well no money so i was just going the cheapest possible to make alittle more power. its a toy to fuck around with now a race car. im just trying not to be the slowest guy out there. and im hanging right there with stock gsr's so im sure my car isnt that big of a pos.

 

Get a better job/Save up for quality parts
