63xxx on JDM 3sgte(Second gen) done by rising sun imports (109xxx on body)
was also tuned there on 10psi and the tech upgraded the ignition with Msd wires and ngk plugs. etc


New parts include:
wheel bearings
lower ball joints
rear tires
rear shocks (bilstein i believe)
Brakes and rotors all the way around
The jdm 3sgte came with a stage two clutch so that also has 63xxx on it (it chirps third)
K and N intake filter

Interior:
pioneer headunit
boost/vacuum gauge
speakers sound decent
everything works
Also very clean 9/10
t tops do not leak. (also have the oem t top bags which are 200 a set)

exterior:
extremly clean paint for the age of the car 9/10
Gold sport maxx's 17's. Offset in rear only also slightly stretched it looks like.

The bad:
Because it does has the second gen 3sgte the transmissions were electronic and the shell which is a first gen is cable driven for the speedometer. so therefore the speedometer does not work but is very simple to fix by just getting the cable drive gear for a first gen tranny. i just dont have time.

Ok so here's where I'm slightly confused. What did they use to tune to car? do you have a boost controller installed in order to turn the stock boost DOWN? Wastegate pressure on a stock 2nd gen 3SGTE CT26 turbo with VSV in place should produce about 7psi when the car is cold, but as the car warms up, the wastegte should produce between 11-12 psi stock.

So I am wondering what "tuned" with or what exactly that entailed, or if they just told you they did so they could charge you more.

 

To you sir, props you know your shit. Uhm i should of been more specific about what i meant by "tune" the shop who put the engine in simply just got the air to fuel right. so tune really isnt a correct word to use. There is no boost controller BUT the car does produce 7psi cold then does increase as it warms up. again props to you, I'm not a Toyota guy by all means.. thanks for giving my thread a little more clarity!

 

No problem, I also noticed you have 94+ tail lights (USDM ones at that) which are another $300 item. If the 3SGTE in your car has an electronic speed sensor then it also is from a 93+, which means there is a POSSIBILITY that it has LSD as well. Overall looks like a nice car, add a downpipe, exhaust and a manual boost controller turned up to 15 PSI and it will be a very fun daily driver.

 

Haha I'm almost positive it's an LSD tranny actually. Do you know where I could possibly get the drive gear for the tranny? I would love for my speedometer to work! And thanks for the compliment man! I'm thinking about keeping it. I just needed money for college but I don't wanna see the car go haha.
