they go boom because of small mistakes and also most are not curiouse about the high compression, big problem for the type-r and big boosted hp for any of the b18c's. go for a n/a h22, or build a turbo low comp. motor. if the b18c's have not blown yet they will eventually. turbo a b18a/b, n/a a b18c1/5. you get better usable power out of them that way. and a h22 will desimate both in either turbo or n/a form, if you can keep it from breaking axels.

thats what i said ps90lsturbo.....

til i realized that most of the quicker import turbos are running high compression and boost. its all in tuning and air fuel mix.

my air fuel mix was like 13 to 1 when i dyno'ed my car at 6 psi. id say its somewhere between 12-12.5 at the 7 psi im running now.

yea, you and i both know that was his USER ERROR.........that motor was beast, but that wasnt a motor problem, that was a shifting accidentally into a lower gear and the motor going to 14k rpm problem........

what about a higher comp H22A (Type-S Piston set... 11:1) and a JRSC with the hondata gasket? and maybe the 9psi pulley? semi-hi comp and low boost would make decent power or ??

true but do they drive they're car daily, to get groceries, and bull around. but what they do have is the cash to build they're motor every couple months, i am saying about a car you could drive daily, drive your mom around in, kind of power. something you would not need to worry to much about tunning because you followed to rules when turbo-ing a car. low comp. turns into high comp. when the boost comes. example 9.0:1 turns into 14.0:1 at 10 psi., that is all i am saying. that is when you go and get a boost controler and dual fuel maps for higher boost and spark tuning to match, to bring on the smiles . man i love boost.

i love boost too.....but all this bullshit about low compression is the only way to go with boost, its just that. if you dog a car, it will break. if you baby it, it wont. and yes, my car is driven daily. if i didnt have a restricted license, it would get driven more.

true, but it is the safest. dog the car or, not motor is provin to last longer when you combine low comp. with boost, that is all. but boost as you want, boost is boost and those of us who have it enjoy it with perverted smiles.

anything is better than a roots type blower. flip a coin and go for it, happy boosting. (go turbo) (go turbo)
