It damn sure is a fun one. No go on the 62 body. The rust work was to much for what I could afford. Most likely it will get cut up to save others. So the search continues for an older one, in the meantime progress will continue on the 65.

 

Well another update on the 65, somewhat. I might not be finishing this project. I have been given an offer I really can't refuse. A straight trade for a 57 panel bus. If you know old school vw's then you know how much the early bus's can go for. Just trying to figure out how the hell to get it from AZ to here on the cheap side.

I saw an episode of OverHaulin last night and thought of your build. They were working on an old bug.

 

I watched it. They did a damn good job on it. The only thing I would have changed was the wheels. Other then that it was bad ass.

So, hopefully next weekend I will be getting my wheel tubs and sheet metal to close up the rear luggage area. Body work mayhem time.

Just got back from RAMEYBUILT. Hopefully here soon i will have me a nice precision turbo with a full SS turbo exhaust system.
