Picked up a 90 Chevy Suburban K1500 4x4 on Monday.

Excited to start a project and learn more about the vehicle. It has some minor cosmetic issues, but just had the motor hot tanked, valves adjusted, new belts, fuel pump, new head gasket, ect. So it should do me well for hunting, fishing, and mudding.

I've been driving my old 86 F150 to work every day just to switch up driving something different. Makes me want to work on it more. Plus the questions of why are you driving that and the occassional, "Man I love those old truck" comments.

My commute to work is a bit to long to be driving the burban to work, maybe on occasion. The AC/heater blower is not working, but I think I traced it down to a fuse issue, I picked up a fuse today and hopefully this will fix the issue. I can stand not having AC, but I want heat for the winter hunting.

Another issue I am looking ito is the windows. It has power windows, but the motors seem to be slow in them causing the window to either go down slowly and stop, or go up real slow. Can this be just because the truck sat for a long time and the motors just sat, or are the window motors not etting enough juice of getting ready to die?

My benefit of living 5mins from work is I can drive whatever and not care. When I switched jobs we sold my 07 Camry because it wasn't needed anymore for a commute. I drive vehicles now that get 15mpg

Her 12 Accord is the family/commuter car.

If you keep this truck for any amount of time, we should get together and go to Truck Nationals in the Summer. I found all types of parts for very cheap. I got replacement fender arches for the bed panels for way cheaper then I could order out of the book.

I am most likely keeping this truck for a very long time. It was my father-in-laws, so it has more or a personal connection than just some vehicle. So, I would be down for a trip.

Same with my 86 F150. Great grandfather's truck now sits at my house. If I remember next year to go, I'll contact you or if there is anything else coming up for trucks and you want to go let me know.
