What happened? I'm completely lost- that is, if you are allowed to talk about it. (from a legal standpoint)

 

I washed my hands of it. They can't call me in anymore.

He had my bike for the third time after bringing me in and in and in saying this is wrong with this and this and this and I'll die if I don't fix it immediately. Then he tacks on another couple hundred bucks to the bill like a new clutch at 8,000 miles ---- it was fine.

Anyway. So, I was on my way to go to my fiancés parents house for our engagement pictures. I had dropped off the bike a couple days before to have them figure out why it was still losing pressure after he has replaced just about everything in the clutch system (2,000 dollars later). They couldn't figure it out and said I new master cylinders and its be another 800 bucks plus labor. Le fuck you I say. I had already told him to change my oil as well and so he charged 175 to change my oil essentially.

I come to pick up the bike, dropped off, and the bike isn't ready ... What!?! You just told me it was. "Oh sorry, we need to just put the fairings back on" fine. I wait patiently and shelled out his bread money.

Sign papers, start and go. An hour down the road just past Fredericksburg I notice the bike is leaned quite a few degrees left just to keep going straight... This can't just be wind ... Wtf!?!

Fairing was loose and had torn from the front if the bike after the bottom dzuz fastener fell out after not being properly clicked into place. Fucked the fairings.

Call Joey he immediately freaks out and says oh I'm so glad your ok well take care of it. Etc. I tell him I taped the bike, have to go take these pictures and will see him the following Tuesday when he opens back up.

This gave him time to make up an excuse as to how it wasn't his fault and he won't guarantee anything. Geico took one look at the story, my phone records, and the video I took standing next to the highway with a time stamp just barely over an hour after the receipt from his shop and paid for everything. Took y 500 dollar co-pay and is still in the process of suing him.

There is a lot of back and forth banter with him but he is a terrible business owner. He might be a good mechanic but he is just trying to scare money out if people. Not to mention I'm pretty sure he has a record. The man was always trying to hide his tattoos whenever one of my parents had to drop me off by the shop.

 

By the way. The a bent pushrod mixed with a seized throw out bearing (53 bucks total) was the culprit of the whole thing. And I brought up both points but he said I should stop reading things on the Internet


I fucking hate people like him.

 

That sucks...real shame, i was really hoping on that place being a reliable shop that i could get to from home in a matter of minutes. Was looking forward to having a place i could be a regular customer at. I like to be on a first name basis with places i plan to do life long business with and unfortunately this and google are all i need to never step through his doors again. I`m supposed to go talk with them about some work i wanted done but now ide rathe just do it myself.

A buddy of mine complained they gouged his forks when replacing the seals as if they tried to stab it with a screw driver but i was hoping maybe that was a one off experience due to a dumb helper etc. i try to give everyone benefit of the doubt but i just can`t see myself going back there ever again after reading this.
