Got a lot accomplished over the weekend. Saturday morning me and a couple buddies swapped my clutch and flywheel out. Then Sunday I got TNGchris to roll my fenders to clear the wider tires i'm running now. AWESOME job by chris btw.

Ran the escort into the back of a honda pilot on valentine's day on my way to visit my girlfriend. Was only a mile or two away. It's fixable, biggest thing it needs a new core support, so it will be down for awhile.
So today Matt (ej1995) and I looked around Roanoke for something. Found and bought a '02 wrx wagon w/ a 5-speed. It has a lot of miles, but the price was right and the thing is loaded with factory option and upgrades. Factory short throw, gauges (boost, volt, and oil temp), and the according to the window sticker in the glove box a factory sub woofer (have yet to find it though.) Has a Mishimoto radiator and drilled and slotted rotors as well. So far it needs an alternator belt (which I have), valve cover gasket, and a ball joint. Plan on doing the plugs and timing belt and components soon to. Runs quite as pulls great.

So this may sound stupid, but has anyone ever failed inspection for ride height? I'm past due and it just sort of dawned on me that I haven't had my car inspected since having the suspension installed. Yes, I've Googled it and most places seem to say that I'd only encounter a problem if the vehicle were too high. I'm just getting some conflicting information from the DMV. I'm seeing 16 inches minimum from the bumper bar, but on the state police website the inspection procedure doesn't mention anything about checking ride height.

I've never taken any of my cars anywhere where they would even consider checking something like that. I aim for the "honk your horn and show me all your lights, then pay me" kind of places.

Ride height is not something we regularly look for, unless of course it can't get on the lift/ need a ladder to get into it.

I'm not talking about places that are going to hook you up. I just mean nowhere I've ever taken my vehicles has really looked over it in too much detail. The last time I got an inspection was the first time anyone had ever really looked into it; I was saying WTF when I saw the guy taking the wheels off to look at the brakes. Usually they honk the horn, and check the lights, and everything else is pretty much a "gimmie"

I don't think there's a requirement on height for state inspection.I do,however, think that adjustable suspension and/or having the springs be loose when the suspension is at droop is technically against the book.
I haven't looked at the book in a long time though- maybe somebody(Benn maybe?)can chime in on it in more detail.
