I only just now realized how much I hate Williamsburg.

I am literally dreading going back there tomorrow.

I drove to ODU daily when I had my integra, and cracked a spoon wheel in norfolk

Without a doubt, but compared to naples, fl. With palm trees everywhere, great maintained roads, well-built infrastructure, Williamsburg doesn't know shit to how orderly the part of Florida I was in. It's a nice town though, but not somewhere I will live my whole life.

You can't be serious? Williamsburg is gold compared to the rest of the 757. Shit, even the whole state of Virginia. Williamsburg has very good roads, good trees/scenery (not palm trees, but go drive Colonial Parkway...) are you really complaining? Come live in Norfolk.

Yeah, to the rest of the 757, it is better. But imo, nova is a lot better than wburg. wburg does have nice scenery, as well as Yorktown. But there is still a good bit of trash on the road, and in my neighborhood, which is supposedly "upscale" road cracks are filled with a semi-gloss hardener. Leaving a bunch of stripes all around the roads, in every neighborhood I drove in in Naples, FL, I didn't see hardly any trash anywhere on roadsides, and the roads were in near perfect condition. And every 3 min. Was a different exotic car that I'd see. It's just a place I would like to live. (I'm not saying Naples is the best place in the world, but something I'm comparing to.)

Yeah, compared to the rest of the 757, which is generally shit or gold surrounded by shit. Wmburg is a nice place to retire and visit and raise kids. Clean roads and always trimmed grass/trees etc, and 80%+ are old people or tourists. Very quiet and relaxing but there's not shit to do here whether you're a teen or someone below 30. New town/busch/outlets. For a good year or so we didn't even have a movie theater. Same old people you see from high school at the same bars and same jobs. Not a trip to walmart that you don't see a familiar face. There hasn't been a weekend that I've lived here since 2003 that I found something fun to do in town. No wonder I'm moving to dc in a month, and yes it'll still be shit. But at least variations of much more shit.

Edit: Florida is the same shit. Beautiful retirement communities, but ghettos and crap on the outskirts. I'm in love with Miami and Ft. Lauderdale and go there every chance I get. But man there are some parts of Miami I wouldn't drive through during the day let alone at night. Plus, I went to school in Danville, VA. The syphillis and welfare capital of VA. Now that place is utter shit, but it was also more exciting than Wmburg.

You're moving to DC? For what reason?

Last year I rode my bike from Cumberland to DC on the C&O Canal. And loved riding there.

Work. I gotta move closer to Baltimore, and have friends around Tysons Corner and GMU.
