yeah, i get that felling anytime i'm cought doing something i shouldn't. one of the worst feelings in the world!

 

well would you rather have a cop or the judge himself behind you

 

The judge.. he can't pull me over and give me a ticket.

 

Depends what you want to do. If you want to try and talk your way out of the ticket on the spot, or you're willing to accept the ticket and plead guilty/pay the fine being honest usually helps.

If you want to flat out fight it in court, don't admit to anything but don't lie either. The officer will makes notes about what you said to him which can be used in court. Just be nocommital and take the ticket.

You have to decide which of those things you want to do before you say anything to the officer.

 

When i went to get my license the cop says he knew how he feels when they are behind us....he had the judge follow him one day

I mean my car is in NC half of the time and everything is legal there...
I'm always afraid to go because it's like i'm guilty no matter what.. and it sucks..

One time in botetourt.. Got a ticket..71 in 55.. What happend was I was in the left lane passing a truck..it was raining.. well some car pulled in front of me.. I was like crap.. i'm in the stang..if I slam on the brakes i'm going in a circle and probably into that ditch.. my first instinct.. drop a gear and get in front of the truck.. So I do that and start to slow down.. well this truck is RIGHT on my ass.. as in I can't see his front wheels.. just a bumper lol.. Officer comes after ME!
I explained to him what happend.. he didn't care..end of the month ya know..

At the hearing.. I asked the officer in front of the judge how did he know he clocked me and not the trucker behind me.. He said it clocks the first vehicle then the second.. clocked me at 71 and the trucker at 70.. Well DUH that means he was ON MY ASS... Then I was like.. ok am I more of a threat then the trucker?? He didn't say anything..

Judge looks at me.. Asks "Is this your first ticket?" I reply no sir... "GUILTY" "As far as i'm concerned..after your first ticket you should know what is legal and what isn't" My mouth just dropped open..

So next time i'll just wreck :shruggs:

 

i think you should. what was the charge on the ticket? i had improper exahust/no baffles. he told me that if i put a baffle/sliencer in my muffler it would be ok. or i could get another muffler. i got a flowmaster and meet up with him (the cop) and when we went to court he told the judge that i complied w/ the law and he droped/dismissed my ticket.


worth a try i would say.

 

He didn't say it was too loud..he said it was aftermarket.. and the hell if i'm taking it off.. it's a carbon fiber titatium muffler.. not cheap..and it's what I want..And I guess i'll keep paying the tickets if I have to..
I could go and see how to compromise.. be like I can put the silencer in..it not looking stock wont hurt anyone..

 

or what you *could* do (my friend in a neon did this) is take off one of your tags, and find another black supra that has all stock stuff. snap a pic and take it to court w/ you and tell them you installed the stock setup.


but the only prob would be finding another black supra w/ stock muffler. hmmmm

 

Who gave you the ticket? Last time I went to court the judge asked me if I was going to change my exhaust. Should I lie and say "yes, sir." when I had no intentions on it? I told the judge no, and he called me a stubborn punk. So I ended up paying for what I said but it was the truth.
